Position Title Environmental Data Coordinator
Canada - Alberta
AECOM is actively seeking a highly motivated Environment Data Coordinator. This position can be located in any of our offices across Canada. AECOM is proud to provide our employees with exciting, challenging projects.
The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:
Working with EQuIS Professional Software for Environmental Data Management on specialized environmental projects, environmental site assessments, environmental compliance, monitoring programs and site remediation
Ownership of the EQuIS Database for a dedicated client program and coordination of other users
Importing data from the lab, tabulation and evaluation of data, analyzing project-specific data and outputting tables in Client specific templates
Having knowledge of Visual Basic programming - specifically Access - and writing code to apply project specific calculated guidelines
Implementation of eForms on tablet devices for field use
Regular communication with project staff, managers and other data coordinators
Other responsibilities may include or extend to inputting borehole logs, mapping, preparing figures depending on experience
Developing processes, systems and workflows to generate efficiencies
Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Geology, Chemistry or related field
3+ years of related experience
Programming experience specifically Visual Basic and Python
Database Management experience, specifically SQL
Must be proficient in Access and EQuIS
Must have good time management skills, a strong work ethic, and most importantly, a strong desire to learn environmental provincial regulations across Canada
Commitment to quality and attention to detail
Ability to work well in teams and get along with coworkers
Excellent communications skills are required
Comfortable in a fast paced environment with challenging deadlines
Enthusiastic, positive and highly driven
ArcGIS, AutoCAD and gINT experience
Familiarity with a range of provincial environmental guidelines
Chemistry/Environmental/Laboratory based background
