Job Summary

AECOM is seeking a Compensation Analyst to join our team at our Calgary corporate office, Alberta.

Compensation Related Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Under general supervision, performs professional level support activities in one or more functional areas of human resources.

  • Performs work that is varied, may be somewhat difficult in character, and requires discretion and independent judgment. Researches, analyzes data, and prepares recommendations on assigned projects.

  • Provides assistance to line management. Assists in the development and implementation of human resources policies and procedures.

  • Prepares reports and analytics in conformance with legal requirements or organization needs. May provide technical guidance to lower level human resources staff members.

  • Provide on demand support for broad-based compensation programs, including salary and incentive participation reviews, bonus awards, job description support and more

  • Provide support and analytics to a variety of internal clients at every level of the organization

  • Utilize technology to work collaboratively with a diverse team, including remote team members

  • Participate in salary surveys, including survey submission, analysis of results, and recommendation for action

  • Participate and captain aspects of the annual Rewards process, including data management

  • Collaborate with OG Leadership, OG Operations, and CS team to plan, research, and execute a variety of special projects

  • Rotational support of shared Compensation Team email box, answering a variety of questions and meeting service level agreement related to all compensation processes

  • Ensure compliance in all programs and procedures, escalating concerns as they arise

  • Support the enrollment and administration of incentive compensation plans

Minimum Requirements

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in human resources, business administration or demonstrated equivalent.

  • Experience: 2 years of professional human resources experience.

  • Proficient in MS office (Word, Excel and Outlook).

  • Advanced Excel skills, including macros, formulas, and functions

Preferred Qualifications

  • Prior Oil and Gas industry experience in Canada

  • Working knowledge of Canadian Employment Standards and employment law

  • Prior experience with effective presentation preparation

  • Ability to manage competing priorities, shift focus quickly, and work under tight deadlines

  • Self-starter who can work under general supervision, with limited direction, to complete assigned tasks, solve problems, and deliver solutions
