The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:
preparing and managing project correspondence and documentation
Manage field activities to ensure all work is compliant with contract documents and is executed within the established schedule and budget
Prepare Construction Project Report for submission to client
Chair construction project meetings and issue meeting minutes
Resolution of construction field issues
Prepare cost estimates for changed conditions and negotiation of change orders
Supervision of onsite QC/QA staff
Responsible for managing RFI’s, submittals, shop drawings, and change requests
Responsible for progress payment and CPM schedule reviews
Assist construction contractors in coordinating multi-prime construction projects
Communicate with the project team throughout the project
Preparing a daily field report and weekly summaries
Documenting the number of contractor’s personnel on site, work accomplished and key issues
Prepare punch lists and monitor completion by the contractors
Bachelor's degree in either construction management, architecture, civil, electrical or mechanical engineering
8+ years of experience in the field of Facilities Construction Management including 3 years of experience working on K-12 or higher-education projects
Demonstrated experience managing construction project cost, quality, and schedule
Experience with the management of design and construction contracts, estimating, submittal reviews, schedule reviews
Experience simultaneously managing multiple projects
Experience with CPM scheduling
Experience with local code requirements pertaining to electrical, plumbing, HVAC, structural and architectural construction in Philadelphia
Experience with construction of government facilities
Experience with construction of occupied facilities and phased construction
