Position Title Associate Director, Landscape Architect
Malaysia - Kuala Lumpur
The Landscape Designer will develop landscape design plans in response to technical problems posed by a project’s scope, and will develop innovative solutions to problems. The types of projects will include but not limited to campus plans, streetscapes, parks and recreation, master planned communities, and landscape architecture projects.
The Landscape Designer and Architect titles are distinguished from each other by an Architect’s current registration status.
Experienced professionals with a specialized area of expertise.
Manages small or medium sized projects or has full technical control of project. Manages financial responsibility for the success of a project
Act as lead role in business development efforts which may be sourced by a more senior staff member.
Supervise the work of others, provide feedback on performance evaluations, and mentor others by support the core values of the firm through actions and accomplishments.
Required high degree of competence, skill and initiative demonstrated over a sustained period.
Demonstrated the ability to perform increasingly more skilled tasks and accept or initiate more responsibility. At the same time, able to provide consistently high quality of product in specialty area, and also exhibits commitment to teambuilding and fostering positive office morale.
Working on or are maintaining their registration or licensure with full project management or technical authority and accountability for small and medium sized projects.
A good understanding and handle of responsibilities and workflow within the studio by holding pieces of project or have significant technical role by continues to develop supervisory skills, often serving as assistant project manager, and may be asked to provide guidance to more junior staff within studio.
A recognised Bachelor’s degree in Landscape Architecture or closely related field required.
Minimum 12 years of working experience with related field and work.
Strong portfolio of built work which demonstrates excellent technical capabilities.
Demonstrated ability to draw, coordinate, and compile Construction Documents
Excellent design, visualization, and graphic skills.
Strong proficiency in AutoCAD and, Adobe Creative Suite software packages.
Proficiency in MS Office Suite as well as overall strong computer proficiency.
Good hand drawing skills beneficial.
Strong attention to detail.
Reflect a high quality of work and standards, innovation and creativity in work and in developing solutions for client projects.
Excellent organizational skills.
Be able to work as part of a multidisciplinary team.
Possess excellent technical skills, and strong personal initiative.
