AECOM is actively seeking a highly motivated Senior Urban Designer for employment in the Brooklyn, NY office.

The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:

  • Generate urban design and master planning concepts with two and three dimensional design graphics

  • Develop an urban design analysis and concepts and graphically present preliminary materials and observations to the team

  • Generate three-dimensional land forms and massing models from AutoCAD or GIS database

  • Manage internal and external business development communications

Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelor of Architecture, Landscape Architecture or Planning with Urban Design specialization

  • 5+ years of related experience

  • Urban design and master planning design process experience

  • Graphic skills, technical drawing and three-dimensional modeling, AutoCAD, Adobe Suite

  • Knowledge of basic building typologies and architectural components

  • Understanding of green infrastructure techniques and landscape design

  • Possess strong verbal, written and graphic communication skills

  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a multi-disciplinary team, including managing and directing project staff

  • Well-organized and adept at multi-tasking working with master agreements and multiple task orders

  • Experience preparing technical documents and reports

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master’s degree in urban design or related field

  • Rhino, Lumion, ArcGIS

  • Free hand sketching skills
