AECOM are currently recruiting for a Principal Structural Engineer to join our London offices based in Aldgate Tower. This particular opportunity has arisen in our Building & Places Business Unit which focusses on projects within the Built Environment with a specific focus on Commercial projects.
This is a great opportunity for an experienced structural engineer with a proven track record in project delivery and assessment of existing structures.
The Buildings team consists of around 400 Engineers who work large scale construction projects and focus on projects not only in London but also across the world. Some of the sectors we specialise in are; stadia, major commercial build and fit out projects, large mixed used developments and historical/listed Buildings. This is a great opportunity to play a significant part on future construction projects across London, and across worldwide locations.
AECOM’s workload has remained robust throughout recent world events. The immediate work for any successful applicant would in the main focus on forensic engineering analysis work
Excellent knowledge of design in Reinforced Concrete Construction.
Excellent working knowledge of the current Eurocodes and specifically BS EN 1992: (Eurocode 2) Design of concrete structures.
Excellent working knowledge of Structural Analysis Software, SCIA, TEKLA or similar software.
Experience in the assessment of existing structures and their justification, as well as new build designs.
This role would suit a highly motivated individual with excellent communication skills and knowledge and experience of the local London Marketplace
Effectively control commercial, managerial and technical aspects of projects or parts thereof for which you are responsible.
Sourcing opportunities and preparing fee proposals for submission to client, including resources and programme.
Leading a team of engineers and technicians designing building infrastructure schemes.
Excellent knowledge of standard engineering practices, techniques, procedures and Structural principles.
Undertaking structural engineering projects, performing analyses and calculations as appropriate.
Supervising work, ensuring that it is carried out to the appropriate technical standard and that it is managed to programme and budget
Ability to deliver design solutions, assessment calculations, lead teams and successfully manage projects.
A solid track record of having worked on a variety of structures projects, possibly as project leader on some, with experience of dealing directly with clients.
Degree qualified (or equivalent) in a relevant discipline
