AECOM IBMS Controls Consultant in Bristol, United Kingdom
The IBMS Controls Consultant shall work directly with AECOM engineering teams to provide a full range of BMS & controls Consultancy services. The role involves providing a range of consultancy services including involvement in conceptual discussions, design and feasibility assessments, detailed design, tender reviews and stage 5 project completion and client monitoring team services.
The successful candidate will support and add value to the IBMS team projects which they have been assigned.
Key responsibilities will include, as required:
Conducting System Condition surveys, producing reports and recommendations for clients.
Completion of Feasibility Studies, Energy Management Surveys, Specification reviews & evaluation.
Providing Application advice to clients.
Production of Concept / Scheme designs, performance specifications and detailed design development.
Engaged in Tender Management and Tender Vetting on behalf of the client.
Production of Cost/Bid analysis.
Project Management on behalf of client to include project progress reporting and Contract Administration as applicable.
Responsible for Commissioning Management and Snagging on behalf of client.
Conduct system witness testing and reporting. Attendance at BMS FAT’s and SAT’s.
Production of case studies.
Sales and work winning.
Client systems training.
Employers requirement writing.
The role will include national working with occasional travel required where deemed necessary by projects works. The role will require that the candidate is available travel to various AECOM offices where required to support projects. In addition to office working the successful candidate should be self-motivated and capable of working.
Key Skills Required
Commercial experience in building services industry (consultancy or contractor) to include installation and testing of control systems and Control system commissioning.
Document writing, with a strong attention to detail.
Strong technical & design skills in Controls, BMS to include mechanical and electrical systems design.
Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to communicate at Senior Manager / Director level, architects, M&E contractors and others.
Tact and persuasive ability.
Good oral and written communication skills.
Smart Building experience.
Knowledge of Open communication standards and technologies
Passion for technology and innovation in building management.
Good BMS systems knowledge (e.g. Trend, Tridium, Niagara) gained through industry work experience working for a BMS/Control systems manufacturer, as a contractor or specialist systems integrator or in a similar consultancy role.
Description of operation writing experience.
Chartership or working towards.
Minimum HNC level related engineering mechanical qualification.
Degree in building services engineering, electrical engineering or computer science.
