AECOM’s Bristol office is a multi-disciplinary unit numbering 200+ staff with a remit to grow. We have a core Building Engineering group of around 32 qualified Engineers, including 20 in the M&E Engineering team. Along with Building Engineering, the Bristol office offers Project Management, Cost Management, Environment, Power Engineering, Bridges and Transportation Consultancy.

University of Bath – Institute of Advanced Automotive Propulsion Systems (IAAPS): A new build £60m cutting edge research facility. (AECOM: Services MEP)
University of Reading – Health and Life Sciences Building: A new build £35m Research and teaching laboratory Building. (AECOM: Services MEP Engineering / Civil & Structural Engineering)
National Composites Centre, Bristol : A new £10m Phase 3 addition to the existing NCC buildings, providing state of the art composite technologies research facilities. (AECOM: Services MEP Engineering).
Dove Lane development, Bristol : A £50m new build mixed use development in Central Bristol comprising residential , offices, retail and a hotel.
Dyson Café: A £6m new build café and social hub for Dyson’s new development at Hullavington.
The successful Electrical Associate Director will manage the Bristol Electrical engineering team, reporting to the M&E team leader. This role will include assisting in the development and expansion of the team in accordance with growth plans for the Bristol Office. The role of Electrical Associate Director will also include an AECOM Project Manager role responsible for the control of commercial, managerial and technical aspects of numerous projects delivered by the Bristol based building engineering group. The successful candidate will be expected to provide high level client liaison and electrical strategies across assigned projects, provide a checking and verification role in relation to electrical engineering designs, develop and implement an effective technical development strategy and contribute to the preparation and submission of building engineering PQQs and ITT submissions.
A degree, or equivalently qualified engineer in Electrical Engineering who is highly motivated with excellent communication skills.
An ability to lead teams and successfully manage projects whilst providing technical excellence.
Experience of working across numerous market sectors and range of procurement and project types including new-build and refurbishment.
Knowledge and experience of preparing PQQs and ITTs.
- A chartered engineer is preferred
