AECOM Communications Advisor in Brisbane, Australia

This role within our Australia and New Zealand (ANZ) business reports to our Head of Communications and helps drive AECOM’s growth strategy by building our brand in the marketplace, helping create and maintain a favourable public image for AECOM by communicating programs, accomplishments and/or points of view, while proactively managing issues.
You’ll craft material and distil complex messages to create clear and compelling written content that connects and engages audiences. To do that you’ll need exceptional writing and editing skills and the drive to earn the confidence of colleagues and leadership.

Write and edit thought leadership, speeches and other external communications materials.
Work with the Head of Communications to deliver, manage and execute public relations activities that support our communications strategy.
Proactively seek and convert opportunities for AECOM’s leaders, technical specialists, projects, and teams to be profiled and celebrated in the industry.
Develop strong relationships with leaders and key stakeholders to establish yourself as a trusted resource on best practices related to communications and media engagement.
Measure effectiveness and impact of external campaigns and communications.
Demonstrable external communications experience
Exceptional written communication skills
Experience in media relations
A proven track record of success in communications, with experience writing for corporate audiences across multiple channels.
Preferably experience in professional services or in infrastructure, engineering, construction, or a similar industry

- A degree in English Literature, Communications, Journalism or a related discipline.
