Job Description

AECOM's Water Business Line is seeking a creative, highly talented Water / Wastewater Engineer and Project Manager for immediate employment at AECOM‘s Boston, MA Office with flexibility of having a hybrid schedule. AECOM is looking to grow our water infrastructure resilience practice. The ideal candidate will be able to support municipal utilities and government agencies in the areas of drinking water and water quality, specifically topics related to environmental justice, public health, climate change, water utility sustainability, and water infrastructure financing.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to :

  • Provide engineering support on a diverse range of water resources and climate resiliency projects for federal, state, and municipal clients.

  • Research and develop hazard mitigation policy and design solutions for local, state, and federal clients.

•Write technical reports and developing presentations for non-technical and technical audiences

•Leads technical business development work

  • Assist with the identification and description of cost effective, technically feasible, and environmentally sound resilience actions

  • Participating in client and project development and assist with proposals and marketing materials as needed

  • Conduct research about drinking water regulations, water sector climate adaptation options, water utility financing, or topics to support water infrastructure resilience.

Qualifications

  • BA/BS degree + 6 years of relevant experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education

  • Climate change risk/resiliency subject matter experience

  • Due to the nature of the work, U.S. Citizenship is required

Preferred Qualifications

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills with demonstrated ability to deliver effective presentations and written reports

  • Ability to work in a team environment

  • Ability to work independently with strong organization skills

  • Strong analytical and desktop research skills and ability to think strategically

  • Advanced degree in a related field

  • 6+ years of experience with municipal/federal water infrastructure resilience

  • Experience working with EPA or other federal agencies

  • PE
