AECOM Water Resource Engineer in Boston, Massachusetts
AECOM Environment’s Chelmsford, MA office is currently seeking a mid- to senior level Water Resources Engineer to provide technical expertise and specialized consulting advice in water and natural resources including but not limited to hydrologic and hydraulic studies, hydrodynamics, sediment transport and water quality modeling, groundwater flow and solute transport, in support of various water and natural resource projects. Individual should be a technical resource for internal staff and clients. The ability to independently perform design projects on various water applications including stormwater is required. Strong GIS and CADD skills are required. Experiences with water resources models are preferred including, HEC-RAS, HEC-HMS, SWMM, EPA BASINS, SRH-2D, MODFLOW, etc. Individual should demonstrate comprehensive understanding in physical, chemical and hydraulic principles in water resources and design projects. The individual should have at a minimum 2 years of industry project or task leadership experience. Demonstration of past experience in proposal development is a plus.
Candidate will function as part of the Water Resources Group.
Individual will provide advice and counsel to staff and clients in his/her area of expertise.
Internal technical resource for AECOM staff nationally and internationally.
Plan and manage water resources projects and task assignments.
Candidate will be responsible for developing business to support the group and pursuing business through applications of current and evolving technology.
Create and expand technical resources of staff. Act as a mentor and aid in staff development.
Actively enhance technical knowledge, remain abreast of evolving technologies and build professional reputation through presentations, publications, and public involvement in technical discipline.

BS Degree in Water Resources Engineering or closely related field
4+ years of experience
A registered Professional Engineering in Massachusetts or be able to obtain such within 6 months from hire
At least 2 years of industry experience.
Masters degree in Water Resources Engineering or closely related field.
Excellent technical writing skills and ability to effectively express his or her self orally with clients and internal staff.
A mature sense of professional responsibility and awareness of accepted standards of professional behavior.
40 hour HAZWOPER training with annual refresher classes is recommended.
