Job Summary

AECOM is seeking a highly motivated and creative SharePoint Administrator for immediate employment. The successful candidate will manage the function and activity of the business’s SharePoint platforms. The responsibilities of this role include troubleshooting site issues, overseeing the work of SharePoint developers, and analyzing all user activity. The SharePoint administrator will also provide support and guidance for AECOM’s SharePoint users, ensure SharePoint functionality, update the software as necessary, and address and resolve any issues with software performance.

The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:

  • Create new sites as required. Decommission sites as required

  • Sites can be internal to AECOM or directly for Clients

  • Good Client interaction skills required

  • Monitors SharePoint software to ensure stability and resilience

  • Troubleshoots issues promptly

  • Delegates work to SharePoint developers

  • Oversees activity pertaining to the maintenance of SharePoint

  • Manages and revises the layout of the site

  • Monitors progress and encourages users to use the site

  • Customizes SharePoint site for client requirements

  • Analyzes daily user activity on SharePoint

  • Maintains records of SharePoint updates, maintenance, and activity

  • Reports to company management with updates and information about SharePoint use

  • Provides technical support for SharePoint users

  • Trains staff in the use of the site

  • Addresses questions or concerns from business owners or directors regarding the function of the software

  • Keeps apprised of Microsoft updates to SharePoint software

  • Applies updates to company’s edition of SharePoint as necessary

  • Collaborates with infrastructure support team to maintain SharePoint security

  • Holds training and informational sessions to teach employees how to use SharePoint

  • Consults with management to devise the most useful ways to apply SharePoint to a business’s goals

  • Availability to resolve critical issues regardless of the hour of the day. Work in conjunction with other BTS staff and our managed service provider

  • Provides innovation by identifying and recommending new services or applications that can be added to the BTS portfolio, complementing SharePoint or providing alternative collaboration solutions

  • Attends IT conferences to learn about new software developments

Minimum Requirements

  • BA/BS plus 2 years or more or AA/AS (US) plus 4 years or more or Diploma/Certificate (Canada) plus 4 years or more or HS/GED plus 6 years or more

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with Okta account management tools – including account creation, resets and reactivations

  • Experience with Microsoft Project Server technologies
