Job Summary

AECOM is seeking a Senior Graphic Designer to be based in any U.S. AECOM office. This opportunity offers a flexible combination of remote and in-office work. As an integral member of AECOM’s National Governments marketing team, the Senior Graphic Designer leads graphic design and multimedia projects for marketing, proposals, communications, and business development efforts by collaborating with cross-disciplined and geographically-dispersed teams focused on U.S. federal government, Canada federal government, and international development clients and projects.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Leads graphic design and multimedia projects for marketing and business development efforts, including client-facing initiatives for positioning, proposals, and external communications.

  • Plans, conceptualizes, and designs high-impact graphics and marketing materials in static and print formats as well as interactive and digital formats. Deliverables may include proposals, presentations, brochures, interactive PDFs/ ePubs, videos, social media content, posters, advertisements, webpages, industry award submittals, and event booth/ exhibit designs.

  • Leads graphic design, layout, and multimedia delivery for large, strategic proposals and qualifications packages for federal government clients, including multi-volume and SF330 proposal responses, presentations, etc.

  • Designs compelling graphics, illustrations, iconography, maps, and spreads that bring the team’s messaging, themes, and technical concepts to life.

  • Develops both branded and customized templates and graphics for client presentations, webinars, joint ventures, awards, conferences, thought leadership, and internal and external communications.

  • Identifies relevant photography and imagery and completes photo editing and retouching as needed.

  • Coaches, mentors, and supports junior designers on the team.

  • Contributes to marketing team libraries for infographics, photography, collateral, templates, communications, etc.

Depending on the successful candidate’s skillsets and interests, additional responsibilities may include:

  • Photography, including employee headshots; industry and inter-office events; thought leadership and speaking engagements; project sites; etc.

  • Videography, video production, and editing.

  • Web design and content using WordPress, Adobe Spark, etc.

  • Social media campaigns, graphics, and analytics.

  • 3D renderings and/or animations.

  • Internal employee communications such as company intranet content, email newsletters, video messages, event promotions, etc.

Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in graphic design, digital arts, communications, marketing, or a related discipline, plus 4 years of relevant experience; or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Proficiency with Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, and Acrobat) and Microsoft Office (PowerPoint and Word).

  • Fluency in graphic design and marketing best practices, workflows, and tools, and evidence of successful collaboration and achievements. Demonstrated ability to visually convey messages, themes, and complex technical concepts that resonate with the target audience.

  • Strong project management and organizational skills: expert multi-tasker with a demonstrated ability to prioritize and work effectively on a variety of projects concurrently in a deadline-driven environment.

  • Meticulous attention to detail that ensures accuracy and quality control of own work and that of others.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

  • Proficiency with collaborative tools such as Microsoft Teams, SharePoint, digital whiteboards, etc.

  • Knowledge of A/E/C industry and AECOM’s markets, capabilities, clients, and competitors.

  • Offered rate of compensation will be based on individual education, qualifications, experience, and work location. The midpoint of the salary range is $84,481.00 annually (Exempt).
