AECOM Risk Management Associate in Boston, Massachusetts

Job Summary

AECOM is actively seeking a Risk Management Associate for immediate employment for our NYC or Boston Office. Some of the responsibilities include but are limited too;

  • Act as an advisor for projects in the area of Risk Management, including but not limited to: when/how to do a formal risk assessment, develop and organize risk mitigation plans and develop tracking mechanisms to controls effectiveness of risk management.

  • Develop project specific risk management plans,

  • Organize and facilitate risk mitigation meetings,

  • Develop ad hoc risk communiques supporting decision points in the project.

  • Review project document, analyze project data and develop risk registers,

  • Conduct constructability reviews, schedule critical reviews, and scrutinize cost estimates, understanding areas of uncertainty,

  • Schedule and conduct risk interviews and support facilitation of risk workshops,

  • Develop quantitative integrated cost and schedule risk models, analyze results,

  • Prepare risk communications (memos), risk assessment reports, and document risk mitigation strategies,

  • Work with project team on risk allocation and risk transfer mechanisms through either design specifications or language in the procurement documents,

  • Prepare risk assessment presentations and prepare presentations of the project’s risk profile.

  • Work as advisor to Project Managers,

  • Work collaboratively with risk management team, involving and engaging risk analyst and supporting decisions of the risk manager,

  • Engage a team approach to tasks and consult subject matter experts as needed,

  • Create reports and presentations in both Excel and PowerPoint, and perform various analytic tasks to support strategy, business / financial planning, and operations,

  • Conduct research and analysis, prepare reports and make recommendations based on findings.

Minimum Requirements

BA/BS + 4 years of related experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education

Preferred Qualifications

  • M.B.A. or Ph.D. degree in Civil Engineering, Economics, Statistics or related field

  • Familiarity with Monte Carlo simulation and any experience with applicable software, such as @Risk, P6 Risk Analyzer or Crystal Ball
