AECOM is seeking a Quality Manager for the South Coast Rail Project in Bridgewater, MA..
Responsibilities for this job include:
Implement the Quality Assurance Plan (QAP) and Quality Management System (QMS) in accordance with MBTA QA/QC Guidelines.
Coordinate and manage all quality related issues between the PMCM team, MBTA, Design Consultants (DCs), and General Contractors (GCs).
Review quality plans and procedures prepared by the DCs and GCs to verify compliance with MBTA quality standards.
Schedule and coordinate management reviews of the QMS to verify effectiveness and promote continuous improvement.
Implement and manage the system for training the PMCM staff to ensure adherence to the QAP.
Schedule and coordinate regular quality meetings for the program to review status of non-conformance reports and coordination of quality activities.
Monitor adherence by the General Contactor(s)to the approved Quality Plans and perform internal audits of the PMCM Team’s operations and external audits of the General Contractor(s).
Monitor GCs’ inspection activities during construction to ensure that required inspections are performed and documented as specified in the contract documents.
Monitor testing activities performed by the GCs’ independent testing companies.
Verify that test equipment is calibrated as required and that all tests are performed and documented in accordance with the contract documents.
Coordinate inspection activities between the Field Inspectors and GCs’ staff.
Monitor the schedule to ensure that inspection and testing activities are scheduled.
Verify adherence of the GCs’ staff to the GCs’ Quality Plans, MBTA Resident Engineer Manual, MBTA Inspector Handbook, and contract documents by conducting observations.
Verify that the current versions of the construction documents (drawings, specifications, Requests for Information, submittals, etc.) are used in the field by the GCs.

- Bachelors Degree plus 6 years of relevant experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education
Experience with MBTA QA/QC Guidelines
Experience with managing staff and procedures on large projects
