AECOM currently has an opportunity for a Bridge Engineer to join the growing team of professionals in our Transportation Bridge Group in Boston, Massachusetts . In this role, you will contribute primarily in bridge design projects.
Assist with conceptual, preliminary, and detailed final design of new bridges. Independently be able to perform these tasks for basic structures or propose solutions for more complex structures.
Perform assessment and rehabilitation design of existing bridges.
Perform and check Load Rating of existing bridges.
Provide guidance to entry level Engineers.
Proficient in the use of computer software for the analysis and design of complex bridges and other structures.
Ability to work under pressure to meet tight project schedules with little supervision.
Preparation of bridge plans, technical specifications, technical reports, design calculations, and provisions of construction phase services.
Excellent written and oral communication skills are required. As a team-player, you are professional in dealing with colleagues of all levels and disciplines. BS in Civil Engineering
Structural Engineer with four (4) years of experience, primarily in bridge design
One (1) year technical leadership experience
One (1) year project experience with MassDOT and/or other State DOT’s
One (1) year experience with modern structural, analytical and design software packages
Six (6) years of primarily bridge design experience
A current P.E. license in MA and/or surrounding states
Excellent verbal communication and writing skills
