The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:

  • Program/Project schedule development with input from program manager, designers, client & construction team

  • Provide updates to the program/project schedule and contribute to reporting

  • Provide cost and resource loading for planning, design, construction, procurement and move-in

  • Review and monitor schedules of other entities including, designers, contractors, etc

  • Provide quantity take-off's and estimate productivity for a wide variety of projects

  • Provide Key Performance Indicators from P6

  • Graphic representation of commodities and Earned Value

  • Produce Contract Variance reports with Root Causes and Mitigation

  • Schedule recovery investigations and mitigation recommendations

  • Support Claims analysis

  • Support other program controls as required, including negotiations support

  • Support presentation preparation and proposals for new work

  • Review and analysis of Contractor’s Critical Path Method (CPM) Progress Schedules on various contracts for one of our major clients along with recommendations on the avoidance, minimization and mitigation of construction phase delays

  • Review and analysis of Contractor’s requests for contract Time Extensions

  • Assist Client in the defense of contract time-related disputes and/or claims

  • Conduct periodic construction project site visits to monitor project progress and assure progress schedule integrity, and participate in regular progress schedule meetings as required

  • Develop or review Suggested Preliminary Construction Schedules based on the available plans, specifications and estimate provided by the project designer on selected projects statewide

  • Assist the Department Manager of Project Controls in special projects as necessary

Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in related field

  • 4+ years progressively responsible experience in construction would be preferential

  • Ability to read and understand construction drawings and specifications

  • Experience in construction contract management would be preferential

  • Construction and scheduling experience would be preferential

  • Oracle Primavera P6 experience would be preferential

Preferred Qualifications

  • College degree in a construction related field preferred but not required

  • Certified Primavera Training Course 102/106 would be preferential

  • Oracle Primavera Contract Management experience preferred but not required
