Position Title Architect
Colombia - Distrito Capital
AECOM is actively seeking a highly talented Architech for immediate employment in the Bogota, Colombia office.
The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:
Design on a wide range of projects: regional, citywide and district urban design plans, transit-oriented development (TOD) plans, academic and research campus plans, as well as mixed use, residential, and commercial plans for urban and urbanizing environments
Collaborate with planners, landscape architects, and architects, as well as other consultants and team members, to create integrated, sustainable and impactful solutions to complex design and planning challenges
Providing design input and assisting in developing master planning concepts
Developing base maps, report graphics, and design solutions
Translating design sketches into AutoCAD or Illustrator drawings
Preparing presentation graphics, posters, and documents
Provide support to clients and engineering teams
Bachelor’s degree in Architecture or Urban Planning / Urban Design
3+ years of experience
Knowledge of urban planning policies and procedures, zoning
Written and verbal proficiency in English
Excellent verbal communication and presentation skills
Ability to work as an key team member on a diverse range of design and planning projects at a wide range of scales
Excellent design skills and ability to quickly develop ideas in a fast-paced environment, using hand drawing, plan and 3D visualization tools
Software: AutoCAD, Adobe suite, ArcGIS
Mapping and analysis of geo-referenced real time data a strong plus
Familiar with local zoning codes
