Cost Assurance team in Birmingham:
A high performing team that is looking to grow with existing client base whilst also seeking new clients.
The successful individual will play a pivotal role in delivering commissions to clients. This will involve taking ownership of the cost and data analytics together with the responsibility for timely delivery, through to the presentation of results. The role will require the successful individual to be confident in liaising with, and presenting to, both clients and contractors as well as managing and extracting information from third parties. Typical tasks and activities will include:
Detailed analysis of cost data against financial/commercial principles
Appraisal of cost management systems and process
Report development and presentation in a succinct manner
Internal and external marketing/development of the service line
Provide assessment of contract compliance and cost performance
Enables the development of opportunities for improvements and efficiencies
Independent verification of costs through the analysis and review of cost data
Support improvements to the cost and commercial outcomes for clients by assessing, monitoring and reviewing their cost data
Proactively manage challenges and mitigation of risks
Articulate cost & data analysis
Process and systems compliance experience
Experience of identifying and assessing risks in financial environment
Advanced Microsoft Excel skills and a wide understanding of Excel functions
Considerable knowledge and competence in use of IT databases and reporting system
Comfortable with challenge & solution/resolution development
Influencing, communication & stakeholder skills
Ability to maintain high standards of work and meet deadlines whilst under pressure
Strong organisational skills and ability to work on own initiative
