AECOM Senior Active Travel Engineer in Birmingham, United Kingdom

Our Streets team has a vacancy for a Senior Active Travel Engineer working with our Birmingham City Centre office OR Nottingham Office . Fully flexible working/working from home available.
The team provides concept, preliminary and detailed design and network modelling services on a wide range of projects for local authorities and contractors plus supports other AECOM business lines where their projects have a specialised traffic and highways interface.
You will be joining a growing team that is actively involved in the delivery of projects and services to a range of both local and national clients including:
West Midlands Combined Authority / Transport for West Midlands
Wolverhampton City Council
Sandwell Metropolitan Borough Council
Undertake design duties in the preparation of preliminary & detailed design and project delivery of traffic engineering, local transport and local authority/municipal highway schemes
Prepare detailed technical reports providing specialist technical contributions as required.
Lead on and ensure the technical content and quality of all outputs are in line with the project brief, design regulations and standards, checking the work of others.
Ability to Undertake Health & Safety duties including fulfilling all responsibilities for safety, health and environment in design.
Input into detailed client briefs and fee proposals and contribute to major bids.
Knowledge of relevant design and safety standards (e.g. DMRB, TSRGD, TSM, MCHW, Manual for Streets, CDM Regulations)
Experience in the design of highway engineering and local transport schemes
3D Design (Civils 3D)
