Our West Midlands Project Management business unit continues to grow with a specific growth demand within the Infrastructure sector (Water, Rail, Power, Highways, Environment, Ports & Marine and Nuclear) where we have successfully secured positions with many high profile clients and some key local projects and programs in the industry.

As a direct result of this growth AECOM is currently seeking a full time Project Manager – Infrastructure based in Birmingham.

Minimum Requirements:

As a Project Manager you will be entrusted to work on a range of challenging projects, ranging from £5m to £20m or as part of a project management team undertaking discreet tasks on a large/major project, £20m upwards, under the general guidance of a Director.

We are looking for candidates with the following skills and experience in Infrastructure:

  • Day to day main client point of contact for projects

  • Successful delivery of projects with minimum supervision, leading to further repeat clients and their business

  • Experience with Flood mitigation

  • Experience with Flood alleviation

  • Experience with Environment Agency

  • Working with local authorities

  • Dealing with/understanding importance of environmental / habitat/biodiversity issues

  • Working with / understanding importance of working with public sector money & required governance

  • NEC/ECC PM training

  • NEC/ECC PM experience

  • Manage and mentor junior staff to deliver our Cost Management service efficiently and effectively

  • Management of client consultant team (design, cost, planning, H&S)

  • Planning & Programming skills

  • Chairing and minting Project Team Meetings

  • Leading Steering Group Presentations

  • Managing Change Control

  • Process Setting Project Strategies

  • Project Reporting

  • Proven pre & post contract experience including contract administration in a lead role

  • Solid background in Infrastructure Project Management

Minimum Requirements

  • Relevant years proven project management experience in a professional environment.

  • Proven pre & post contract experience including contract administration in a lead role

  • Experience of a variety of project types / sizes / sectors

  • Excellent interpersonal skills - written and oral

  • Solid background in Infrastructure Project Management

  • NEC/ECC PM training

  • NEC/ECC PM experience

  • Project Cost Tool (PCT) / Other cost benchmarking software
