As a Senior Consultant you will be expected to work as part of a team to successfully structure, lead, manage and deliver capital investment and business transformation Programmes.
The role covers the whole of Programme lifecycle from initial inception, identification and definition; blueprint and business case development; Programme establishment and delivery; managing the tranches and benefits realisation; through to Programme closure.
In addition to core Programme Leadership, as a Senior Consultant within the Programme Management team, you will be expected to identify areas of specific interest and capability in the delivery of programme advisory services to clients.
Support the Programme Management team in the delivery of its strategic goals in relation to capability, growth and commercial targets;
Support the delivery of large, complex Programme Management commissions involving multidisciplinary teams and diverse stakeholder groups;
Support the delivery of commissions to the appropriate quality standards and commercial expectations;
Implement a robust approach to risk identification, evaluation and mitigation to all commissions;
Ensure AECOM health, safety and environment requirements and consistently implemented;
Develop strong relationships with clients and members of the cross-functional teams to support successful Programme delivery;
Support Business Development opportunities with existing and new clients, including cross-selling opportunities within and without the Programme Management team;
Support the development of proposals throughout the entire bidding process; and
Identify opportunities to share knowledge and best practice and promote the Programme Management team both internally and externally with clients and relevant industry bodies.
This level is reserved for a senior level Project Manager who is developing to become a Program Manager.
Under supervision of a senior Program Manager, provides oversight and management for multiple projects that are less complex and less sensitive in nature.
Works under the direction and supervision of a more senior Program Manager.
Begins to manage and direct program resources.
Experience in the delivery of public and private sector infrastructure, urban regeneration, sustainability, commercial, residential, government, healthcare, education or science projects and programmes;
Complex, multi-disciplinary Project and Programme experience essential;
Proven track record for delivery;
Comfortable engaging directly with Clients and Client team members;
Highly motivated with excellent industry network; and
Possess the ability to work across service lines;
Degree level education, ideally Project or Programme Management/Construction/Engineering.
Minimum proven experience.
Managing Successful Programmes accredited (or international equivalent) preferred.
Prince 2 or APM accreditation preferred
Experience using Business Information tools preferred.
