As a Consultant, you will work within our Technology Services team helping to deliver Intelligent Transport Systems (ITS), Connected and Automated Vehicles (CAV), Smart Cities and Smart Motorway projects to clients across the UK and internationally. The team provides services to diverse client base, from strategic advisory services through to technical research, design and delivery related engineering services. The Technology Services team works closely with clients and partners, largely in the Transportation Sector, although this role will also support other sectors due to its specialist nature.

Today, we are pushing the boundaries of mobility by delivering a connected vehicle testbed in Ireland which will help push the boundaries of technology, we are managing live trials of autonomous vehicles creating a greater understanding of how CAV can be integrated into our everyday life, closely collaborating specialist. We are delivering Electric Vehicle and renewable energy generation projects to create greener and more sustainable mobility.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Providing specialist technical consultancy and design services for the development of projects and bids and subsequent delivery of technical work for which Intelligent Transport Systems, Smart Cities, Mobility solutions, technical design and delivery, and other technology related expertise is required.

  • Keeping up to date with new developments, technologies and skills helping you and AECOM push the boundaries of mobility through the next generation ITS, CAV and smart cities and acting as a technology scout exploring emerging opportunities within the Technology Services team.

  • Supporting the capture of client, stakeholder, system and user requirements, developing systems and services, system architecture, design documentation and technical reports.

  • Collaborating with AECOM colleagues and project partners to support the development and delivery of opportunities, bids and projects.

  • Conducting research, data analysis and proposing recommendations relative to the client, technology and the future.

  • Supporting the identification and engagement of strategic partners and industry to support opportunity development and raise yours and our technical and business profile.

Minimum Requirements

  • We are looking for candidates with working experience in a similar role in the transportation, technology or ICT-related sector.

  • You will have growing knowledge of ITS and/or technologies which provide a recognised contribution to ITS solutions.

  • Good understanding of transport technology market demands, trends and challenges. .

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree, preferably in Electrical/Electronics/Telecommunications/Computer Engineering or associated field.
