Position Title Fiscal Incentives Associate

Job Summary

Based in the Birmingham office, the Fiscal Incentives Associate will be an integral member of the Fiscal Incentives team focusing on successful service delivery for client engagements and in developing new markets and client opportunities. This will focus on existing capital allowances services, extended to all services offered by the team, including Research & Development relief and credits, Land Remediation Relief and VAT in relation to property transactions and expenditure. The individual will work closely with the Directors and other business unit service lines to identify and develop initiatives for target markets and sectors, with a focus on collaboration. As a senior member of the team, the individual will be expected to mentor and manage resource locally and contribute to the strategy and leadership of the team. They will have the opportunity to work on a wide variety of projects for a leading property tax advisory team throughout the UK.


Minimum Requirements

Extensive experience in Capital Allowances, Land Remediation Relief and other works related to tax depreciation, with good technical understanding of UK tax legislation

Background in quantity surveying, building surveying, cost management, accountancy or tax advisory with a specific focus on real estate

Good IT skills

Good communication skills, written and oral

Ability to work with minimal supervision as part of broader national team

Preferred Qualifications

2:1 Degree (or equivalent) in Quantity Surveying or a similar property, accounting or finance related discipline.

Hold or be training for RICS, CIOB, ATT or a relevant property/accounting qualification
