AECOM’s Major Pursuits Team manages some of the region’s largest and most strategic bids across both established and emerging markets.

We are recruiting for a dynamic, motivated Bid Manager. This person will lead the bid, leading strategy planning through to developing requirements from market intelligence and bid documents. They will be drive strategy, develop bid teams, devise bid programmes, agree key deliverables, manage inputs from Subject Matter Experts and drive progress through to successful submission. The Bid Manager will work collaboratively with technical leads, members of our End Market teams, bid writers, graphic designers and the Major Pursuits leadership team.

The Bid Manager will drive the bid holistically through all stages, from win strategy development, through the Pre-Qualification Questionnaire (PQQ) and proposal submission to interview/presentation preparation and lessons learned sessions. They will provide consistency through the entire process, responsible for sharing lessons learned and driving continuous improvement in our process and bidding efforts.

Minimum Requirements

  • This is a management position that requires clear thinking, strong strategic skills, the ability to create empathy and rapport with internal colleagues and external clients, and a cooperative ability to constructively engage and lead the business in winning work.

  • Must have proven depth and breadth of experience in working with UK+I pursuit and bid teams to facilitate the creation of win strategies and positioning activities on major opportunities across all End Markets.

  • This leadership position demands a high-level of depth and breadth of delivering major winning bids.

  • Other key competencies include a good knowledge of the Architect-Engineer business and a strong track record in the implementation of Work Winning methods and a strong track record of winning in a multi-geography, multi-market, multi-discipline enterprise.

  • Degree level (preferable)

  • Master’s degree (desirable)

  • APMP Professional qualification (desirable)
