Job Summary

Our Belfast office is looking for an ambitious, enthusiastic and dedicated experienced Chartered Building Surveyor to join their team.

They will be looking to progress their career whilst also enhancing their knowledge delivering Building Surveying within a fantastic global organization.

On occasions, they will also work with multiple AECOM disciplines within our business, delivering projects and surveys together, exposing them to unique experiences and challenges.

The successful Building Surveyor will be able to work on their own and within a team delivering a wide variety of more complex professional and higher value contract services for public and private clients. Services will be delivered across a number of sectors including Health, Industrial, Education, Commercial, Residential, Government, and Leisure & Culture. Some of our Belfast offices recent projects include;

  • Newcastle Promenade

  • Windsor Park refurbishment

  • Lagan Weir Pedestrian Bridge.

Minimum Requirements

Professional Extensive experience of undertaking the following;

  • Condition Surveys

  • Defect analysis and remediation surveys

  • Schedules of Condition

  • Technical Due Diligence Surveys

  • Dilapidation exercises Project Extensive experience of undertaking the following;

  • Feasibility Studies including design, budget costs

  • Managing Design Teams

  • Obtaining statutory consents

  • Tender preparation

  • Procurement and tender analysis

  • Post contract admin services including; Chairing and taking minutes at meetings

  • Technical monitoring including snagging

  • Cost monitoring including valuations and final accounts

  • Programme monitoring

Experience of undertaking the following;

  • Technical monitoring on new build and refurbishment projects

  • NEC Supervisor role experience desired but not essential

  • Experience and knowledge of working with Public and private sector and Healthcare Clients is preferred

Preferred Qualifications

  • BSc Hons Building Surveying

  • Member of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors
