We are currently recruiting for a Senior Bridge Engineer for our Rail, Bridges and Structures team in our Basingstoke Office .

The Rail, Bridges and Structures team workload ranges from feasibility studies to scheme designs, detailed designs, assessments, inspections, construction support and management services on a wide range of structures. We are now looking to enhance and grow this team with individuals with a sound technical background and who share our enthusiasm and determination to support our expanding workload.

A selection of our current and recent projects includes –

  • A27 Arundel Bypass – Design for National Highways

  • CAFA Wessex Region – Inspections and Assessments for Network Rail

  • Transport for London Framework, Bridges and Structures

  • Model Contract Document Updates for National Highways

  • A303 Stonehenge Bypass – Preliminary Design for National Highways

  • CrossRail – various station designs and independent checking

Minimum Requirements

  • Experience in Bridge Engineering and the related application of Eurocodes and National Highways Standards.

  • Experience in computer analysis techniques – preferably in Autodesk Structural Bridge Design and LUSAS or MIDAS.

  • Good technical and communication skills

  • Demonstrable experience delivering to quality, time and budget, with some previous experience of project management.

  • Previous exposure to clients at both national and local level.

  • Ability to manage project Health and Safety responsibilities including compliance with CDM legislation.

Preferred Qualifications

  • BSc, BEng or higher degree in Civil Engineering

  • Chartered or Incorporated Engineer with ICE, or having fully completed the Initial Professional Development (IPD) requirements for the same and planning to sit Professional review in the next 6 months(ideally).
