Job Description:

The IT Oracle Business Analyst is responsible to support HR and Payroll applications and related reports, interfaces, and integrations. The role works with IT, HR, and Payroll stakeholders to troubleshoot errors, determine solutions, and communicate effectively within the teams. The role primarily supports Oracle eBusiness HCM, although support of other systems and associated interfaces (e.g., learning, payroll, talent, benefits, Workday HCM interfaces) is also required as a part of the responsibilities.

  • Assess and understand the issues and challenges of customer’s organization and data and how the supported application seeks to resolve those issues.

  • Maintain a detailed understanding of how the applications are configured to meet customer’s business requirements.

  • Support the accurate and timely movement of data to and from the supported systems including reporting, interfaces, and integrations.

  • Troubleshoot errors, evaluate or escalate issues to the Team Lead, and recommend solutions.

  • Ensure the successful delivery of support for HR and Payroll applications and interfaces. This includes but is not limited to monitoring and reporting ticket requests, identifying and escalating where there are issues and delays, facilitating the prioritization of backlogged requests where needed, and assessing the performance of delivered work.

  • Work with stakeholders to identify and prioritize minor and major enhancements and projects independently or in collaboration with the HR, Payroll/IT team.

  • May support junior members of the team in addressing routine issues within the assigned processes.

  • Perform moderately complex tasks in compliance with service level agreement, process, policies, and procedures.

  • Propose alternatives in identified issues and assist in investigating and in resolving common and unusual issues.

  • Contribute to various and simultaneous process improvement initiatives to streamline processes, improve customer experience, and increase productivity.

  • Contribute specialized expertise to different assigned projects and may provide key updates to Team Lead and Manager.

For minor and major enhancements:

  • Define and document requirements for enhancements and submit documented requests for review, assignment, and completion.

  • Ensure that requirements are well understood developed or configured successfully, and that the impact of any change is understood and communicated

  • Perform testing and documentation where required.

  • Coordinate with AECOM technology team members to deploy changes to the production environment

Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in any course

  • At least 4-5 years’ experience as a Business Analyst or related responsibilities, including working with complex systems and their interfaces.

  • Experience in Oracle eBusiness Suite HCM is required

  • Experience in Workday HCM, payroll systems or benefits systems is preferred

  • Experience in other HR systems is an asset

  • Experience in designing and documenting business process workflows, business requirements documents, wireframes, and test cases

  • Has the aptitude to learn new technologies.

  • Ability to be thorough and meticulous in completing assigned tasks and identifying errors, duplicates, & discrepancies through defined methods. (Attention to Detail)

  • Ability to identify and resolve simple to moderate with the ability to provide resolution alternatives by following defined policies and procedures. (Problem Solving)
