Job Summary

The AECOM Baltimore, Maryland, office has an exciting opportunity for a Senior Trackwork Engineer to join our team in the Transportation Business Line. This is an opportunity to join a well-established rail transportation group that supports multiple rail organizations in Maryland, Washington, DC, and Virginia.

The responsibilities of this position include:

  • Interface with clients

  • Oversee engineering design staff

  • Perform track geometry calculations

  • Develop details of track structure elements

  • Develop construction sequence

  • Write specifications

  • Determine quantities

  • Review shop drawings

  • Participate in field investigations of track elements.

Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelors degree in engineering

  • 15 years of experience in the design of track for Metro, Light Rail, Commuter and/or Freight

  • 15 years of experience with or management of projects using MicroStation and/or AutoCADD engineering design software

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

  • Ability to read and interpret construction plans and specifications

Preferred Qualifications

  • Advanced degree in Engineering

  • Professional Engineer license or ability to obtain
