AECOM Field Technician I in Baltimore, Maryland

Job Summary

AECOM has an immediate opening for a Field Technician in our Baltimore, MD office. The ideal candidate will be able to demonstrate the ability to work as part of a team, as well as independently. They will possesses strong communication, interpersonal and customer service skills in order to interact with all levels of employees and clients.

The successful candidate will serve as field technician for a wide range of water projects including: Sewer System Evaluation Surveys (SSES), Infiltration & Inflow (I&I) remedial design and sewer rehabilitation design for a number of municipal clients.

The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:

  • MACP Sanitary Sewer Manhole Inspections

  • Dye Testing

  • Smoke Testing

Minimum Requirements

  • Constantly move across outdoor wooded areas, small streams and right of ways with uneven terrain and often unmarked paved surfaces to access manholes.

  • Constantly move, lift and carry equipment such as a pole camera, sledgehammer, manhole puller and tablet weighing up to 20 pounds total across work areas unassisted.

  • Frequently lift and move manhole covers weighing up to 60 pounds with puller tool unassisted.

  • Constant exposure to variable outdoor weather conditions including heat, cold, dryness, moisture.

  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent

  • Must be in possession of a valid driver license upon employment that is in good standing

  • Must be able to drive and operate a full-sized pick-up truck

  • Must be able to navigate to work areas.

  • Must be able to implement and follow health and safety plans

  • Must be able to enter data using electronic devices (ie. Tablet, Toughbook, Smart Phone)

Preferred Qualifications

  • MACP/ PACP Certification helpful

  • Experience in traffic control is a plus
