Job Description
AECOM is seeking a Geospatial Manager to be based in Austin, TX for a hybrid role.
The Geospatial Manager will lead and manage geospatial and programming personnel. The ideal candidate will have strong experience managing tasks and staff with extensive technical experience in geospatial data management, processes, workflows, and applications. The Geospatial Manager will collaborate with project managers, technical staff, marketing staff, and subject matter experts to deliver innovative solutions. The GIS Manager will also engage with business partners to enhance and strengthen relationships by facilitating activities resulting in positive revenue growth.
Job Functions include:
Lead and manage geospatial projects from initiation to completion, ensuring quality and timeliness.
Supervise and mentor a team of geospatial and programming professionals.
Foster a collaborative and innovative work environment, promoting professional growth within the team.
Technical expert in geospatial software and tools, including ArcGIS Online and other GIS software, for data analysis, mapping, and modeling.
Ensure the accuracy and integrity of geospatial data and deliverables.
Develop custom GIS applications, scripts, and tools to improve data quality, and accessibility.
Create and maintain accurate geospatial datasets, maps, and reports.
Maintain and manage ArcGIS Online, ArcGIS Portal, and other GIS software, tools, and technologies.
Collaborate with project teams, consultants, and stakeholders to ensure accurate and timely delivery of GIS data and products.
Provide technical support and training to GIS users.
Prepare and give effective presentations.
Good communication skills and team spirit.
Work in a collaborative, fast-paced team environment.
Qualifications
Minimum Requirements
- BA/BS + 8 years of relevant experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education.
Preferred Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in GIS, Planning, or other related fields.
Ten (10) years related experience.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Knowledge of transportation/transit systems and related data.
Additional Information
Offered rate of compensation (Texas locations only) will be based on individual education, qualifications, experience, and work location. The salary range for this position is $82,000 - $140,000/yr
