AECOM has a new opportunity for a Senior / Principal Hydraulic Engineer to join our Building Services team in Auckland. This role is perfectly suited to a Hydraulic Engineer with a strong technical background who is passionate about developing detailed design solutions and who is looking to play a key role in the delivery of our building services projects.
This is a varied role which involves hydraulic design engineering and documentation across New Zealand, including plumbing + drainage, domestic water and natural gas systems. Fire protection design capability will also be viewed as favourable but is not a mandatory requirement of this role.
You will be working closely with our talented engineers and designers and have the opportunity to further develop your hydraulic services skills and knowledge base with our global technical practice networks. The opportunity to grow your leadership skills and bring your own approach to the team also exists.
We are seeking an experienced Hydraulic Engineer who can demonstrate;
Relevant tertiary qualification
Proven experience in (buildings) hydraulic systems design
Proven experience in designing to AS/NZS standards and NZ Building Codes
Enthusiasm for technical excellence in hydraulic design
Competent in the use of Revit
Excellent verbal communication and report writing on technical matters for non-technical clients
Experience in a design consultancy practice would be beneficial
Experience in the design and documentation of fire engineering systems would be a distinct advantage
