Job Description

Our Acoustics practice is leading the way on some of the largest and most exciting infrastructure and building projects in New Zealand, and due to our continue success, we are seeking Senior, Principal and Associate Director Acoustic Consultants with environmental noise experience to join our acoustics team.

As a key member of our high performing team, you will contribute to the continued growth of our business through strategic and successful proposal compilation to win commissions. You will oversee the delivery of projects across building acoustics, transportation and environmental acoustics whilst mentoring, coaching, and providing day to day support to the team.

You will maintain contacts and work closely with internal and external clients, participating in business development and delivering the largest projects with the greatest impact in New Zealand. This is an exciting opportunity to join one of the leading consultancies in Aotearoa.

You will be joining a close-knit group of acousticians who work collaboratively to share skills and deliver projects of significance across markets such as healthcare, education, commercial and aviation. Our group enjoy developing and employing innovative practices such as auralisation and 3D acoustic computer modelling.

Qualifications

  • Appropriate tertiary qualification in acoustics, environmental science, engineering, science, or planning

  • Post-graduate qualifications will be an advantage

  • Chartered or professional member of relevant professional body

  • 7+ years relevant experience in noise/vibration. Experience related to transport infrastructure projects will be viewed favourably

  • Strong knowledge in relevant noise propagation standards and prediction methods

  • Proficient in SoundPlan/CADNA calculations and prediction methods

  • Proven team leader with excellent interpersonal skills

  • Demonstrated commercial acumen, and the ability to develop strong client relationships
