Job Summary

The Role

Working closely with our Senior SHE+W Advisor - NZ, this specialist advisory role is responsible for the administration and maintenance of AECOM’s comprehensive safety programme.

You will support the NZ business with the delivery of AECOM’s SHE+W programme and other health, environment and resilience related initiatives.

This is a hands-on role, which will see you participating in both office and field-based work, with the opportunity to travel to site and other AECOM office locations within NZ.

Day to day responsibilities will include;

  • Providing technical and specialist SHE+W assistance to office and field operations to ensure compliance with applicable regulations and company safety policies;

  • Participating in internal and external Safety Management System audits;

  • Coordinating and maintaining the SH&E incident reporting system;

  • Supporting a range of SHE+W training for company employees;

  • Developing and distributing communications related to employee health and wellbeing;

  • Completing prequalification’s and providing supporting materials for bids and proposals.

Minimum Requirements

About You

We are seeking a proactive, driven Health and Safety professional who shares our passion for delivering high quality safety initiatives to our clients. You will be a natural team player who can demonstrate;

  • Tertiary qualification in safety, or equivalent skills and training in health & safety

  • 3-5 years’ professional experience in a similar safety role

  • Exposure to high-risk safety activities

  • Safety management and LMS software experience

  • Experience in developing and/or implementing health & safety procedures, programmes or initiatives

  • Ability to deliver successful safety training packages

  • Ability to build relationships and influence key stakeholders, and engage with staff at all levels

  • ICAM investigation experience

  • Engineering/construction safety experience is strongly preferred

Preferred Qualifications

  • Tertiary qualification in safety
