Position Title Quality Manager
New Zealand - Auckland
As the Quality Manager, you will be responsible for all significant aspects of quality management and improvement within the AECOM New Zealand business.
The primary function is to drive and manage a strong, positive project delivery assurance culture locally and at a team level to ensure continuous improvement and that our projects are performed in accordance with appropriate standards, meet the needs of our clients and appropriately manage AECOMs technical risks.
This will include driving compliance with AECOM’s Project Delivery and Integrated Management Systems which underpin the company’s AS/NZS 9001 and 14001 certifications. This will be achieved by advising and supporting management, supervisors and staff on IMS issues enabling the development of a strong and proactive culture around quality and environmental aspects within our business and operations.
The role is part of the ANZ matrix organisation structure with direction from both the Region and the ANZ Delivery Excellence Team, led by the Director, Quality and Project Excellence based in Australia.
Primary responsibilities include:
Maintain the integrity of systems data and provide reports as requested regarding Delivery Assurance performance, client feedback and delivery performance.
Actively support operational aspects (Green Office Program) with respect to planning, goals and objectives, and monitoring performance.
Manage, co‐ordinate anundertake training and education programmes on quality concepts and procedures to comply with IMS requirements.
Deliver induction, Delivery Assurance and processes training and provide support to our Project Manager Certification and Training programs,
Recommend organisational structures and strategies that will facilitate improvements in business processes.
Develop, implement and monitor a 'Total Quality Management' programme.
Extensive experience in quality management and assurance.
Demonstrated experience in quality strategy development and implementation.
Experience in Integrated Management System that satisfies the requirements of approved International Standards, specifically ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 and other standards as appropriate.
Understanding of ISO standards and requirements.
Effective communication skills.
Sound leadership and motivational skills.
Ability to conduct and implementation of audit and monitoring programmes including conducting specific project audits as requested from the Project Manager or Project Director or as a follow-up from review processes.
Passion to help management and staff to understand and implement continuous quality improvements in all business processes.
Previous experience in conducting audits as part of project contractual requirements and or subs management processes.
- Relevant tertiary qualification.
