AECOM Transportation Senior Project Manager in Atlanta, Georgia
AECOM is seeking an experienced Design Build Senior Roadway Project Manager to join their surface transportation group in the Atlanta - Midtown office.
The appropriately qualified applicant will be able to demonstrate an established career in the transportation highway and bridge industry and have a successful track record of major design and design/build project management. The applicant will have demonstrated experience in developing teams and approaches to winning and executing major projects, including projects completed using alternative delivery approaches. The position also requires the ability to lead and develop teams to successfully execute and deliver projects working under alternative delivery and design/build methodologies.
This is a high profile position requiring management of multi-disciplinary teams required to deliver large scale design and design/build projects. The objective of the position is to develop and execute work required to deliver client programs within established and agreed budgets and schedules, thereby expanding AECOM’s reputation as the preferred roadway design service consultant in the industry.
The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:
Work with the local area Business Line Leader and Senior Management on development and execution of significant project pursuits and delivery
Formulate and execute project opportunity capture strategies, including teaming and positioning for major pursuits and identification of required staff resources to win and effectively deliver projects throughout Georgia and the Southeast Region
Establish relationships with both external and internal clients and customers, including industry associations and other potential consultant team members and construction contractors
Be a visible leader and trusted advisor to clients by promoting AECOM’s values both internally and externally
Demonstrated expertise in the area of managing and preparing transportation design-build project delivery teams
Proven track record with large client account management, project pursuit execution, and engineering/planning staff development
A desire to work with external contractors, AECOM’s construction services division and interact directly with major clients (GDOT, MARTA, etc.)

Bachelor's degree in related field
15 + years of experience designing/managing large-scale civil engineering and/or design/build projects
Georgia PE required or ability to get a Georgia PE within 6 months
Must possess a valid driver's license
Experience with large design/build financial reporting systems
Client relationship experience.
Experience designing/managing large-scale Georgia based roadway projects
Knowledge and training with GDOT plan development process
Experience with design/build projects
Interchange/Interstate design and project management
