The Sr. Director, Talent Management will lead the succession, high potential development, assessment, learning and coaching processes for the Design & Consulting Services and Construction Services (DCS & CS) businesses in the Americas. The leader will ensure our overall talent strategy remains competitive in the market, aligns to business goals and enterprise talent development processes, and ensures a robust pipeline of capable and diverse talent. This role partners with and supports the HR SVP, as well as HR and business leaders in the delivery of strategic talent initiatives across the business units. This position will have 1 or 2 direct reports and will have strong connections to technical capability development teams embedded in the businesses. Directly reports to the VP, People Strategy & Operations.

This position can be located at any one of our major offices across the United States.

Roles and Responsibilities

  • In alignment with the enterprise talent strategy, develops and executes DCS & CS – Americas talent strategy.

  • Evaluates and deploys succession and high-potential identification and development programs that ultimately increase readiness and success rate of individuals identified as having the potential to assume broader positions or positions at a more senior leadership level. Programs should also ensure that high-potential talent identification and development practices drive a more diverse, multicultural workforce.

  • Manages employee learning, assessments and coaching programs in alignment with business needs and externally recognized best practice approaches.

  • Leads implementation of Workday talent review processes.

  • Designs and implements KPIs to determine the impact of talent initiatives; partners with HR leaders and People Analytics function to evaluate effectiveness and checks and adjusts accordingly.

  • Inspires, coaches, develops and mobilizes team to action.

  • Manages departmental budget and third-party external suppliers to ensure appropriate service levels are being delivered.

Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree with a minimum of 15 years of HR experience, specifically with a mix of HRBP and talent management roles. In addition to any COE experience leading talent development, role requires business-relevant programmatic design gained through previously held roles as a strategic HR business partner.

  • Demonstrated ability to provide guidance and influence at the highest levels of an organization.

  • Experience assembling ROI focused business cases in support of investment requests.

  • Experience inspiring, coaching, developing and mobilizing teams to action.

  • Ability to work productively in a fast-paced, demanding environment.

  • Ability to balance big picture, strategic thinking with tactical implementation.

  • Ability to work effectively in a matrixed team environment and to collaborate across lines of business and functions.

  • Must be detail-oriented with excellent written communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master’s degree.

  • Hogan, DiSC, ICF, StandOut and/or other assessment or coaching certification preferred.

  • Experience with process improvement approaches (Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, Simple Problem Solving).

  • Implemented or used Workday as human capital management solution.
