AECOM Security Architect in Atlanta, Georgia

Job Summary

We are seeking an individual to join the Security Architecture team within a Fortune 500 company. A qualified candidate will have a broad level of experience in IT and a passion for Information Security. This includes awareness of current security risks, trending of new technology, secure configuration and design practices. He/she will be responsible for partnering with members of IT on a global scale and is a key enabler in achieving a world class security architecture team. Finally, the candidate should possess strong analytical skills and have an inherent passion for seeking knowledge, sharing knowledge and continuous process improvement.

Responsibilities:

  • Accountable for defining and delivering the IT security architecture, framework and roadmap that reflect the threat landscape

  • Accountable for ensuring all IT solutions and projects are built and implemented to the agreed security architecture design by conducting or overseeing project reviews.

  • Accountable for ensuring effective architecture governance, process and guidance is in place to inform and mandate repeatable, secure IT design and engineering practices

  • Works closely with IT architects to ensure adequate security solutions are in place throughout all IT systems and platforms to mitigate identified risks sufficiently, and to meet business objectives and regulatory requirements

  • Researches, designs and advocates new technologies and architectures that will support security requirements for the enterprise and its customers, business partners and vendors

  • Communicates security risks and solutions to business partners and IT staff

  • Must identify vulnerabilities associated with new technologies or applications and recommend mitigating controls or designs

  • Helps to develop all requirements for security including firewalls, network architecture, IPS/IDS, VPN, DMZs, remote access technologies, etc.

  • Establish working relationships with IT and Business partners to maintain a complete perspective of business goals and current technology.

  • Offered rate of compensation will be based on individual education, qualifications, experience, and work location. The midpoint of the salary range is $111,726.00 annually.

Minimum Requirements

  • BA/BS in Information Technology or other relevant discipline, plus 6 years of relevant experience in an IT / Security Architecture related position, or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education.

  • Due to nature of work, candidate must be a US Citizen and be fluent in the English language.

  • Able to pass a thorough background check.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Excellent oral/written communication skills including the ability to comfortably lead meetings and present to large groups of technical and business personnel.

  • Current security industry certifications preferred (GIAC, ISC2, EC-Council, etc).

  • Expert knowledge of security issues, techniques and implications across multiple computer platforms.

  • Demonstrated ability to work in fast paced dynamic, distributed IT environments.

  • Track record of using discretion concerning confidential and sensitive company information.

  • Operating systems (UNIX, Windows, etc.) working knowledge.

  • Formal training in a relevant enterprise architecture methodology (for example, the Zachman Framework or TOGAF).

  • Experienced at managing large scale enterprise wide security projects.

  • Familiar with secure coding and secure software development lifecycle processes.

  • Able to work well on a virtual team without close supervision.
