Job Summary

AECOM is seeking a Junior Marketing Proposal Specialist to join our East Region Marketing team. The Junior Marketing Specialist will support our busy team with preparing winning proposals for various infrastructure projects for our Transportation business. We are open to an entry-level candidate looking to start an exciting career in Marketing at a Fortune 500 Company and Top infrastructure firm. The successful candidate can work a combination of work from home and work from out of any of our AECOM United States East region offices with a preference for offices located in Raleigh, North Carolina; Atlanta, Georgia; Philadelphia, Pennsylvania; Piscataway, New Jersey; Arlington, Virginia; Orlando or Tampa, Florida.

Job Summary/Responsibilities:

The Junior Marketing Specialist must exhibit a high level of integrity and professionalism and display good time-management and communication skills (both oral and written.) Must be able to work effectively in rapidly changing environment with multiple deadlines.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:

  • Assist with developing proposals, presentations, and qualification materials (including resumes, project descriptions, and other general information materials), in response to client solicitations, including analyzing RFP specifications and requirements

  • Develop compliance matrices, proposal outlines/templates, and proposal review and production schedules

  • Coordinate with capture managers, project managers, and subject matter experts

  • Coordinate and lead proposal kick-off, status, and review meetings.

  • Assist with coordinating proposal production (including working with graphic designers) into a polished, client-ready package. Assist with production and quality checking of documents

  • Use SalesForce CRM software

  • Under general supervision, will complete marketing assignments requiring independent judgment.

  • Supports special projects, as required.

Minimum Requirements

  • BA/BS, preferably in Marketing or Journalism, or a related field, and prior internship(s) experience collaborating within a marketing team supporting the development of proposal and presentation activity to assist a business line and/or special pursuit team with key client and strategic pursuits in support of strategic growth and winning work, or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education.

Preferred Qualifications

  • A minimum of two (2) years of experience supporting the development of proposal and presentation activity.

  • APMP/SMPS certification is a plus.

  • A basic knowledge of and interest in the A/E industry, including AECOM’s projects, people, credentials, and competitors.

  • A basic knowledge of marketing best practices and procedures, work processes, and tools.

  • A basic understanding of effective proposal and presentation writing and production.

  • A developing working knowledge of word processing programs (e.g., Microsoft Word), spreadsheet management (Excel), and presentation software (e.g., PowerPoint), as well as desktop publishing software (e.g., Adobe Creative Suite), graphics programs (e.g., InDesign, Adobe Illustrator, Adobe Acrobat, Photoshop).

  • A basic knowledge of collaborative tools such as Microsoft Teams, SharePoint, etc.

  • A basic knowledge of CRM. Salesforce experience is a plus.

  • Developing initiative, skill, and personal commitment to work on multiple projects and details concurrently, follow up, and bring tasks and projects to full completion.

  • Ability to produce accurate, compliant, and compelling work independently and with others.

  • Organizational and administrative skills, including the ability to complete varied work tasks on schedule, and support deliverable efforts by others.

  • Ability to exercise discretion with confidential/sensitive issues.
