We have three exciting opportunities for HR Program Leaders (HRPL) for the following portfolios:

The HR Program Leader (HRPL) will execute with excellence the highest priority projects within the people strategy for the Design & Consulting Services and Construction Services (DCS & CS) businesses in the Americas. The role is designed to connect front and back end business unit HR with corporate HR for a balanced perspective – bridging business needs with COE design for proper tailoring & customization of initiatives and timelines. The Leader will ensure HR value delivery is made visible through KPIs and action-oriented dashboards. This role partners with and supports HR business leaders and COE leaders in the delivery of strategic HR initiatives across the business units. This is an individual contributor role with high visibility and high impact. It directly reports to the VP, People Strategy & Operations.

This position can be located in any AECOM office location in the United States.

Roles & Responsibilities:

80% of Time: Leads project and change management for assigned high priority HR initiatives

  • Program Development: in partnership with COE leaders, supports the development of creative solutions that meet the needs of the business; works with HR and business leaders to incorporate ‘voice of the customer’

  • Program Implementation: drives decisions to ensure projects deliver on agreed upon objectives and budget; develops ‘ready to go’ tools and materials needed to implement projects; develops comprehensive change management & communication plans; works closely with the front-end HR teams to launch

  • Program Evaluation: Designs and implements KPIs to determine the impact of assigned projects; partners with HR leaders and People Analytics function to evaluate effectiveness and checks and adjusts accordingly

  • Sustainability: defines how new processes, systems and behaviors will be sustained in the organization; fully handover projects to the groups responsible for on-going operations

20% of Time: ‘COO’ support to assigned HR business leaders to ensure pull through across the FULL HR portfolio

  • Ensures awareness of timing for annual HR activities, as well as key HR initiative milestones and deadlines so that they are fully briefed and equipped to represent this during leadership team meetings and employee all hands events

  • Manages/escalates competing timelines of assigned projects vs. business priorities

  • May also be called upon to leverage org effectiveness and change management skills to assess, recommend and implement organizational structure changes that align to business goals and increase agility

Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree with a minimum of 6+ years of experience in either HR or Project Management roles

  • Project Management, Lean/Six Sigma, Agile/Scrum and/or Change Management certifications required

  • Demonstrated ability to provide guidance and influence at high levels of an organization

  • Experience leading complex projects across business units and regions, and ability to work effectively in a matrixed team environment

  • Previous project budget accountability and experience assembling ROI focused business cases in support of investment requests

  • Ability to work productively in a fast-paced, demanding environment

  • Ability to balance big picture, strategic thinking with tactical implementation

  • Must be detail-oriented with excellent written communication skills
