AECOM is currently seeking a Senior Building Surveyor to be based at Ashford or London.
As a Senior Building Surveyor working within the building and places team you will be working within an existing team to deliver a wide variety of Technical building surveying instructions for commercial and institutional clients.
Working as a building surveyor you will be required to have experience in all core Building Surveying work areas with a good knowledge of design and project management. The role specifically focuses on the building consultancy aspects of building surveying. You will be working with multi-disciplinaries and also be required to work with a number of clients.
Our Services will be delivered across a number of sectors including Health, Industrial, Education, Commercial, Residential, Government, Leisure & Culture.
We are seeking to increase the headcount of our building consultancy team who focus on the advisory aspects of building surveying. We are therefore looking for candidates who emjoy and have a track record in delivering advisory based surveying. Whilst contract administration and project management experience is welcome we are keen to see previous experience relevant to the Building Consultancy service line.
Lead on individual Building Surveying, commissions.
Use client development skills to develop business with existing clients and confidence to win new work Prepare fee bids, mentor key team members to do the same and assist other growth managers in business development.
Demonstrate continuous improvement to deliver to our core clients.
Mentoring and developing Assistant Building Surveyors and other team members especially in the development of technical skill and support for their professional acreditations.
Comply with all QSE procedures
Establish client briefs, appropriate fees, and cost control through to completion
Financial, commercial and risk management from project inception through to completion on own projects
Survey and Report writing for the full range of typical core Building Surveying services in particular the delivery of technical due diligence instructions, dilapidation assessments and party wall instructions.
Experience in all core Building Surveying work areas especially advisory based roles such as Technical Due Diligence, Asset mapping, Dilapidations, Building Pathology and Party Wall instructions.
Experience of working in multi-disciplinary teams
Excellent client and team interpersonal skills
Ability to work with a number of clients providing core Building Survey services.
Ideally Degree qualified in Building Surveying or MSc in Building Surveying.
RICS Member chartered through the Building Surveying pathway.
