Position Title Senior Building Surveyor
United Kingdom - Kent
AECOM is currently seeking a Senior Building Surveyor to be based at Ashford.
As a Senior Surveyor you will work on your own or supporting a team delivering a wide variety of more complex professional and higher value contract services for public and private clients. Services will be delivered across a number of sectors including Health, Industrial, Education, Commercial, Residential, Government, Leisure & Culture. In addition a key part to your role will be to support your line manager in the management of the team day to day activities from a technical and quality perspective.
Lead on individual Building Surveying & Contract Administration commissions.
Client development skills to develop business with existing clients and confidence to win new work.
Assist with the Preparation of fee bids.
Continuous improvement to our standards, processes and knowledge to deliver to our core clients.
Mentoring and developing Assistant Building Surveyors and other team members.
Key account client management.
Comply with all QSE procedures including reviewing and checking documents produced by others.
Establish client briefs, appropriate fees, and cost control through to completion.
Financial, commercial and risk management from project inception through to completion on own projects.
Conducting a portfolio of fee based activities with our key multi sector client base.
Fully involved in or managing others for the production of a range of outputs including reports, statutory documents, schedules, asset capture information, drawings, specifications and tender documents
Survey and Report writing for the full range of typical core Building Surveying services.
Construction monitoring and quarterly snagging assessments.
Specific Skills Required:
Specific industry experience working in a consultancy environment delivering advice based commissions such as surveys, party walls, dilapidations and asset data capture commissions.
Experience or aspirations to supervise and mentor others within a team.
A full driving license to permit UK driving.
Mandatory Professional Certifications MRICS.

Excellent client and team interpersonal skills
Ability to work with a number of clients providing core Building Survey services.
Ideally Degree qualified in Building Surveying.
RICS Member chartered through the Building Surveying pathway.
