AECOM Sustainability Manager in Arlington, Virginia

AECOM is actively seeking a creative, highly talented Sustainability Manager for immediate employment for the Arlington, VA office.
Support design, engineering, and construction teams on green building projects and initiatives
Work with a multidisciplinary team to develop sustainable solutions for our clients.
Lead sustainability workshops both internally and externally
Direct and coordinate requirements for documentation in LEED Online for projects requiring a USGBC rating.
Perform specialized calculations individual to project needs, including but not limited to daylight studies, energy modeling, and vapor barrier analysis.
Bring a broad understanding of both sustainability principles and LEED credits to project discussions
Technical writing, such as design narratives, briefings, analytical reports, and specifications
Provide general sustainability and sustainable design consulting services
Work with AECOM discipline groups (e.g. architecture, landscape, engineering, information systems, planning, transportation, economists) to coordinate and ensure sustainability is integrated into project delivery
Prepare and coordinate LEED documentation, facilitate the LEED certification process (and/or Envision)
Research sustainability topics, including client, industry, market, and regulatory drivers, market studies, as well as stakeholder concerns; incorporate findings into projects and client briefings
Complete energy modeling and investigations for LEED compliance as required
Undertake daylight calculation and simulation analyses as required
Research and develop sustainability guidelines and guidance for buildings, sites and campuses
Develop sustainable master plans for Clients within a team environment
Complete data review/analytics for energy and water
Manage clients, project tasks and projects
Participate in broader initiatives of the AECOM sustainability practice, network with colleagues, and engage in other regional project opportunities
Occasional travel opportunities to be expected
Bachelor's Degree in Sustainability, Planning, Engineering, Architecture, or related field
Minimum of 4 years of experience with sustainability, planning and architectural projects
LEED Accredited Professional with Specialty (BD+C, ID+C, O+M, etc)
Working knowledge of the primary aspects of sustainable design
Two (2) year sustainability projects experience and can show verified experience facilitating and managing the LEED certification process
Two (2) year experience with MS office, including Excel/spreadsheets (data management and visualization) and PowerPoint presentations
Two (2) years data / information management experience including ability to synthesize quantitative and qualitative data, organize and correlate findings, and incorporate into client deliverables
US Citizenship is required
Licensed Professional in planning, landscape architecture, architecture or engineering
Experience developing and managing sustainability programs
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to proficiently communicate both internally and externally to build collaborative relationships
Ability to balance various project and company responsibilities and deadlines, while maintaining professionalism and quality
Strong work ethic coupled with a high energy level and passion for sustainability work
Experience with computer energy simulation and modeling using Trane Trace, IES VE, Sefaira, or Green Building Studio
Experience in Adobe InDesign, Illustrator, or Photoshop
