Job Summary

AECOM is actively seeking an experienced, creative, highly talented Senior Planner, Senior Project Manager for immediate employment in the Arlington, VA office.

The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:

  • Participate in business development activities

  • Plan, organize, and supervise work of a staff of professionals and technicians, including subconsultants

  • Coordinate the planning, staffing, scheduling, budget management, quality control, safety and organization of internal technical and support staff, and subconsultants

  • Facilitate project decisions regarding technical approaches and strategies, issue resolution and solutions, cost and scheduling performance

  • Organize and conduct internal, external and client meetings

  • Provide technical guidance to his/her project staff

  • Effectively apply leadership and delegation skills in a working team environment

Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering

  • 10+ years of experience in managing transportation planning projects

  • Experience in business development activities including client interaction/satisfaction, professional society participation, pursuit strategy, and preparation of proposals/letters of interest

  • Excellent communication skills

Preferred Qualifications

  • 15+ years of experience in managing transportation planning projects
