Job Summary

AECOM is actively seeking a highly talented and motivated Senior GIS Manager for immediate employment in the Arlington, VA office.

The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:

  • Provides surge support during critical national disasters or congressional inquiries

  • Manages the creation of maps or visualization output focused on critical infrastructure and natural disasters

  • Manages multiple technical client relationships

  • Facilitates, plans, organizes and manages client-directed special projects

  • Periodically works directly with the client on-site (i.e. in the client’s office)

  • Develops solutions featured in Task Order and Master Contract proposals (est. 10-25% time)

  • Directs staff to perform quality assurance and compliance

  • Excellent quantitative and presentation skills, using software such as MS Excel and MS Power Point to organize data, analyze data, and present reports

Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in related field

  • 10+ years of experience in related field specific to the water industry (i.e. floodplain mapping, water resource engineering, coastal, hydrographic, H&H modeling, GIS)

  • CFM

  • Excellent quantitative and presentation skills, using software such as MS Excel and MS Power Point to organize and analyze data.

  • In-depth knowledge of the NFIP program to support on-going projects and rapid response requests

  • Due to the nature of this work, qualified applicants who are offered a position must pass a pre-employment substance abuse test

  • Due to the nature of this work, U.S. citizenship is required
