Job Summary

The Recruiter is a key member of AECOM’s new business proposal team and plays an active hands-on role in technical proposal development. The successful candidate will have a strong track record of working on USAID-funded proposals and project staffing with an established network of experts: Chiefs of Party (COPs), Deputy Chiefs of Party (DCOPs), Country Directors, and Senior-Level Specialists for technical sectors such as economic development, governance and urban management, civil society and capacity development, climate change adaptation and WASH. Provide general or specialized recruiting support for multiple locations.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to :

  • Monitor and disposition candidates that come into the AECOM system in response to job postings.

  • Meet with AECOM representatives to discuss initial recruitment and gather requirements.

  • Source specified candidates to fill proposal positions using job descriptions and SOWs provided by the AECOM team.

  • Have regular contact with AECOM proposal team to provide updates and adjust recruitment.

  • Regularly update staffing matrix.

  • Provide a weekly report on activities and status of each assigned position.

  • Screen candidates that indicate interest ensuring that they meet technical requirements, are within salary ranges, and are willing to be proposed on a proposal.

  • Present viable candidates to AECOM BD representatives including general written summary for each candidate, salary requirements, an updated CV, and availability to serve on the proposal.

  • Schedule selected candidates to interview with AECOM representatives

  • Collect a 1420 form and accompanying salary and education verification documents for each selected candidate.

  • Partner with internal clients to problem solve, create ‘go-to-market’ strategies, and define the candidate identification strategy for each business development pursuit and hard to fill positions

  • Source potential and passive candidates through direct channels, social media, internet sourcing, extensive name generation research and relationship building

  • Serves as an internal consultant regarding staffing needs and projections, and advises on the best course of action to fill open positions

  • Partner with internal clients to source for hard-to-fill positions

  • Continually expand network through leveraging user groups, blogs and networking events

  • Generate candidate interest through creative marketing and social media messaging

  • Prequalify potential candidates to determine their qualifications

  • Develop a pipeline for current and future hiring needs

  • Foster relationships with passive talent and Recruiters

  • Ensure job requirements and expectations are clearly understood and candidates are assessed against appropriate criteria

  • Ensure timeliness of recruitment process

  • Will take positive steps to support and promote the recruitment, retention and development programs for AECOM.

  • Assist in the opening and closing of personnel requisitions

  • Ensures that AECOM’s internal applicant tracking system is maintained and completed; applicants are disposition according to OFCCP guidelines; internal candidates are disposition and contacted appropriately; and, interview reports are completed accurately

  • Coordinates and participates in job fairs

Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelors Degree or equivalent

  • Experience within the cleared government contracting environment

  • Experience with Social Media Management and Recruiting

  • Must be will to travel up to 25%

  • Experience performing advanced Boolean searching for highly cleared staff

  • Experience partnering with business leaders to define recruiting requirements and assist with staffing plans

  • Experience mapping government labor categories to internal organizations categories

  • Knowledge and ability to follow OFCCP guidelines
