Position Title Project Manager

AECOM is actively seeking a creative, highly talented Project Manager for immediate employment based out of the Arlington, VA office. The position worksite location will be in either St Croix or St Thomas.
The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:
Responsible for the administration and coordination of all phases of construction work , budgeting, scheduling, procurement, contract development, shop drawings & submissions, construction & implementation, and contract closeout.
Interface with the Structural Engineers to facilitate the timely resolution of Roofing hardening and rebuilding for approved homes.
Trade procurement, including the development of bid packages, bid analysis, leveling & scope review and the preparation of trade subcontracts.
Working in conjunction with the Project Superintendent to supervise the activities of the subcontractors.
Assessment of subcontractor extra work orders.
Organize and facilitate coordination of trade installation drawings.
Monitor and track trade requests for information (RFI’s).
Develop and track material, equipment and shop drawings by use or submittal schedules and material and equipment status reports.
Assisting the project executive in working with all departments including estimating, scheduling, procurement, labor relations, finance, accounting and other services as required.
Obtaining clients acceptance of the work, and sign-off for the completed project. Responsible for the preparation and submission of the final project reports, and prompt closeout of the subcontracts.
This position will be based on either St Croix or St Thomas, and will oversee teams of Construction Management personnel.
The work week will be 6 days per week, 10 hour days. All hours over 40 are paid at straight time overtime, and there is a possibility that some weeks will be 7 days per week.
The duration of the project is four (4) months minimum.
Candidates must be able to deploy immediately!
There are generous per diems for housing, food, transportation, and home leave every 4 weeks.
Individuals must be able to work in a field-based capacity, extreme heat, uneven terrain, and long work days.
A degree in Construction, an Engineering or Construction Management discipline or equivalent experience and training
3 - 5 years of project and people management experience
7-10 years of construction project management experience
Candidates will be required to pass a background and drug screen post offer
Due to nature of the work, candidate must be a US Citizen or Permanent Resident of the United States
Experience in Disaster Recovery work, FEMA work highly preferred.
