Job Summary

AECOM is actively seeking experienced, creative, and highly talented Project Manager to join our Program and Project Management Group for our client in Crystal City, VA. This person will be manager large $250M projects and will be responsible for but not limited to the following:

  • Provide overall project management and administration of design, constructions and commissioning services

  • Confirm that appropriate project authorization and funding is in place before activities begin

  • Prepare cash flow projections and monitors financial performance

  • Assures that al necessary jurisdictional approvals are obtained and that all applicable codes and standards are met

  • Assist in proactive schedule management of all major project milestones

  • Diligently pursue the timely completion of any punch list and all project closeout activities

  • Provides leadership to various individuals associated with each capital project

  • In addition, the Project Manager will coordinate all activities of technical discipline team members specialty consultants, construction inspectors, and project support staff

  • Partner collaboratively with planners and contractors during scope development, cost estimates and project scheduling and may also assist with warranty compliance

  • Work closely with high profile stakeholders and client representatives on a day-to-day basis

  • Responsible for managing a project to achieve specified objectives. involves the overall planning coordination and control of a project from inception to completion to produce a functionally and financially viable projects that will be completed on time within authorized cost and to the required quality

  • Manage scope, schedule, budget, quality, safety, and change management

Minimum Requirements

  • BS in Architecture, Civil, Mechanical Engineering, CM or related Degree; 8+ Years in Progressive Project Management Experience including below grade large scale parking for class A new office buildings (20 to 30 stories)

Preferred Qualifications

  • Possess thorough knowledge of design and construction management practices.

  • Ability to effectively communicate (in oral and written form) and to use a computer for email, correspondence, reports, spreadsheets and automated project management systems. Ability to create management reports.

  • Ability to manage project finances, make and review estimates, negotiate contract change orders with A/E firms and contractors, and to develop and manage value-engineering efforts.

  • Ability to perform contractor and A/E evaluations.

  • Ability to review construction drawings and specifications for constructability.

  • Knowledge of national, state and local codes and regulations applicable to the design and construction of facilities.

  • Ability to function in a team oriented environment, taking on new tasks with enthusiasm and energy.
