Under the supervision of the Program Manager, the Program Coordinator (PC) serves as a supporting member of the home office program management unit (PMU), contributing to the PMU's provision of day-to-day program management support for effective and efficient coordination between the home and field offices. The PC supports client contract management, supports project field operations, and coordinates home office project backstopping. The PC may contribute to business development efforts or support divisional and corporate initiatives. The PC reports to and is supervised by, the Program Manager.
Learn and achieve fluency in relevant policies and procedures including: US and project host country laws and regulations; AECOM policies and procedures; USAID regulations; and be accountable for project compliance with these laws, regulations, policies, and procedures
Support program approval requests and project procurement
Support regular project budget management
Process expense reports, make travel arrangements, and process payment requests
Draft and monitor consultant agreements--maintain short term consultant files
Support recruitment, mobilization, and demobilization of short-term consultants and long-term project staff
Draft and assist with management of subcontracts--maintain subcontract files
Support formatting and filing of project technical deliverables
Maintain project files in accordance with AECOM filing conventions
Prepare information needed for business development and internal AECOM communications
Assist with project start-up and closeout including potential short-term international travel
Other duties as assigned or requested
At least 1 year relevant work experience
Associates Degree in related field, including International Relations, Political Science, Government, Economics, Business, or International Development
Team player who can work independently and excels at consulting and coordinating with teams
Ability to write and verbally communicate clearly and concisely
Ability to prioritize and handle multiple tasks under tight deadlines with keen attention to detail
Proficiency with Word and Excel
Fluency in English
Ability to travel and work overseas on short term operational support assignments, sometimes at short notice
Experience supporting USAID projects
Language ability in Spanish, French, or Arabic
International travel experience
Bachelor's degree in relevant field
