Position Title MEP Coordinator- Data Center and Mission Critical work
United States of America - Virginia
Location: Northern VA, and other Mid-Atlantic locations
Responsible for the coordination of MEP activities (especially electrical) for the Data Center/Mission Critical market sector.
Takes the initiative in working with all departments including cost/scheduling, procurement, quality assurance, construction, labor relations, finance and accounting and other services required to be performed for the project to achieve an integrated project team approach to the work.
As a field-based expert, oversee trades activities, monitor budgets, and provide project management and guidance on coordinating MEP efforts. Initiates and directs the planning and development of the project scope, procedure, budget and overall project schedule.
Reviews all major purchase orders, change orders and contracts/sub-contracts and periodically reviews change order controls to assure that all change orders are current and adequate.
Coordinates all client contacts and maintains working relationships at all levels throughout the period of the project. Monitors and controls all contractual commitments to assure that all work is being performed in accordance with the specifications, drawings and terms of the contract.
BS Construction Management or other relevant Engineering degree
5+ years of progressive Project Management or Superintent epxerience for large GC
Prior expereince in MIssion Critical work, to incloude:
Data Centers OR
Co-Generation plants OR
Utility company project
Strong organizational background in vertical construction projects from the above-listed segments.
10 years of experience managing large, complex Data Center and mission critical projects.
Ability to travel 25% in the Mid-Atlantic region to other similar projects.
